How to Use This Calculator

  1. Enter your number of outs (cards that complete your hand).
  2. Select the street (flop = 2 cards to come; turn = 1 card).
  3. Enter the pot size and call amount to compare pot odds vs win probability.
  4. Use the Outs to % tab for quick flush/straight draw lookups.
  5. Use the Implied Odds tab to include expected future winnings.

Formula

Flop (2 cards): Win% ≈ Outs × 4  |  Turn (1 card): Win% ≈ Outs × 2

Pot Odds = Call / (Pot + Call) × 100

Example

Flush draw (9 outs) on flop: 9×4 = 36%. Pot $100, call $20: pot odds = 20/120 = 16.7%. Since 36% > 16.7%, calling is profitable.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • After the flop with 2 cards to come, multiply your outs by 4 for an approximate win percentage. After the turn with 1 card to come, multiply by 2. Example: 9 flush outs × 4 = 36% on the flop.
  • Pot odds = call amount / (pot + call). If pot is $100 and you must call $20, pot odds = 20/120 = 16.7%. If your win probability exceeds pot odds, calling is profitable.
  • A flush draw has 9 outs (13 suited cards − 4 already seen). An open-ended straight draw has 8 outs; a gutshot has 4 outs.
  • Implied odds account for future betting: the additional money you expect to win if you hit your draw. They make calling correct even when pot odds alone are insufficient.
  • Fold equity is the probability your opponent folds to a bet or raise. Semi-bluffing combines fold equity (win now) with equity from your draw (win later if called).
