Formula
Celsius → Fahrenheit: °F = (°C × 9/5) + 32
Fahrenheit → Celsius: °C = (°F − 32) × 5/9
Celsius → Kelvin: K = °C + 273.15
Kelvin → Celsius: °C = K − 273.15
Example
Example: Convert 25°C to Fahrenheit:
(25 × 9/5) + 32 = 45 + 32 = 77°F
Frequently Asked Questions
- Multiply the Celsius value by 9/5, then add 32. For example, 20°C = (20 × 9/5) + 32 = 68°F.
- 37°C (normal body temperature) = (37 × 9/5) + 32 = 98.6°F.
- Absolute zero is 0 K = −273.15°C = −459.67°F. It is the lowest possible temperature.
- Water boils at 100°C = 212°F = 373.15 K at standard atmospheric pressure.
- Water freezes at 0°C = 32°F = 273.15 K.
